Smith.ai pricing, quoted from Smith.ai's own page
Smith.ai is one of the few providers in this record that prices by the call rather than the minute, and one of the five that publishes the rate for exceeding the plan. That combination makes its bill straightforward to model in advance, which is rarer here than it should be.

Why per-call pricing changes the comparison
Smith.ai's entry plan is published as a starter tier described for solopreneurs or small teams, with thirty calls included and an overage published at eleven dollars fifty per call. That is a high per-unit figure next to the per-minute market until the call length is taken into account.
At a two-minute average, a per-minute provider charging around two dollars thirty costs under five dollars for the same call, so Smith.ai is the more expensive option. At six or seven minutes, which is normal for intake and booking work, the per-minute provider passes eleven fifty and Smith.ai does not move.
The practical reading is that per-call pricing is a hedge against long calls. Buyers whose calls are short should price the per-minute providers first; buyers running questionnaires should look here.
